Last week at The Elms Academy, we marked Gender Equality Week with students exploring stereotypes, bias, and what gender equality looks like in everyday life and the workplace.
As part of the week, our students created an Elms Academy Pledge:
We will challenge gender stereotypes, discrimination and bias.
We will maintain a gender-equal mindset.
We will celebrate women’s achievements.
We will call out gendered actions, assumptions and sexist language.
