You could get a bursary to help with education-related costs if you’re aged 16 to 19 and your household income falls below a certain amount.

The bursary provides financial support to students who may otherwise experience financial barriers to participating fully in their education. Funding can help towards essential educational costs, including travel, books, equipment, specialist clothing and other approved expenses directly related to a student's study programme. Look through the Bursary Policy to see if you qualify.

All students wishing to receive bursary support must submit a new application for the 2026–27 academic year, including those who received funding last year. Previous applications and supporting evidence do not automatically carry forward. Applications must be completed online through MyBursary.
