Enrichment Experiences

Developing young people as well-rounded individuals and active citizens who live with integrity is what we call education with character. Being equipped with the attributes, knowledge and skills to successfully navigate any situation will lead to a more fulfilling life and one that contributes positively to society.

THE SIXTH FORM AWARD

Enrichment builds personality, leadership and develops personal growth which is why we decided to create our very own Sixth Form Award that recognises participation in any of the experiences on this page and beyond. Students gain points for each experience that accumulate to achieving a bronze, silver or gold level award celebrated at a special ceremony.

ENRICHMENT EVERY MORNING

Our Education with Character (EwC) sessions run every day before academic lessons begin and are delivered by our team of pastoral tutors. Each week we follow a specially planned curriculum that includes different strands.

  • Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education (PSHCE)
  • Careers Education
  • Oracy programme
  • Literacy programme
  • Super - curricular showcase

ENRICHMENT AND HOUSE ACTIVITIES

Students also have opportunity to take part in various enrichment and house activities throughout the school calendar. House activities are planned by our Sixth Form House Captains and contribute to house points. We schedule enrichment activities based on student demand, but these have included:

  • Sports - such as football, basketball, table tennis, badminton and use of our gym.
  • Languages - learning Korean or Mandarin leading to a qualification.
  • The Arts - use of our music practice rooms or time in our dance and art studios.
