Internal exams 2025-2026

At The Elms Academy, we assess student progress in two ways: informally during lessons and formally under exam conditions.

Informal checks help us understand how students are learning in real-time. Formal assessments, held throughout the year, prepare students for the pressure and structure of public exams in Years 10, 11, and 13. By practicing in exam-like settings, students build the confidence and skills they need to succeed when it matters most.

The next assessment period for  Y11 and Y13 students will take place during the week beginning Monday, 23rd February 2026.

Why This Matters

At The Elms Academy, assessments are not just tests — they are an essential part of helping every student grow. They build confidence, strengthen long-term learning, and ensure students are fully prepared for the challenges of future GCSE and A Level examinations.
