Working at The Elms Academy

“Bringing out the best"

At The Elms Academy, we believe schools change lives — and great people make that happen.

Our motto, “Bringing out the best,” shapes everything we do. It drives the way we teach, support, lead and work together as a community. We are ambitious for every student and equally ambitious for every member of staff, creating a culture where people are valued, developed and empowered to succeed.

At the centre of our school are strong relationships built on respect, kindness and high expectations. We work closely with families to ensure every young person feels supported, challenged and inspired to achieve their full potential. Our values of integrity, ambition and determination are not simply displayed on walls — they are lived every day in classrooms, corridors and beyond.

We are passionate about providing students with more than just excellent academic outcomes. Alongside a rigorous curriculum and expert teaching, we offer an “education with character” — rich opportunities that help young people develop confidence, resilience, leadership and curiosity about the world around them.

For staff, The Elms Academy is a place where you can genuinely grow your career while making a meaningful difference every single day. Whether you are at the start of your journey or an experienced professional, you will join a warm, welcoming and forward-thinking team that believes in collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.

In return, we offer:

  • A highly competitive pay and benefits package
  • Three additional INSET days dedicated to planning and professional development
  • A personal day each year
  • Exceptional opportunities for training and career progression
  • Access to the extensive support and networks of United Learning, one of the largest and most successful school groups in the country

Most importantly, you will become part of a community that is deeply committed to transforming lives through education.

At The Elms Academy, we do not just prepare young people for exams — we prepare them for life.

The Elms Academy and United Learning are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments are subject to an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory online checks for shortlisted candidates.
